What is bookoobook?
Bookoobook is an international portal designed to bring vendors and buyers of books´rights together.
Who uses bookoobook?
It's open to everyone but is aimed at publishers and authors agents as well as agents.
What is a dossier?
A dossier is a detailed presentation of a book-title containing data about the author and his oeuvre, book summary, informative reviews and text sample.
Who is authorized to register a dossier on bookoobook?
Anyone who owns the rights of the book can register a dossier. Publishing houses, authors and agents are equally eligible to sell foreign rights via bookoobook.
How can I find quickly and efficiently foreign rights free in the language I am interested?
Fill the field "FREE LANGUAGE LICENCE" under "FIND DOSSIER". You will get a result with all available dossiers sorted by submission date.
What is the quickest way I can find books covering a certain topic or author or publishing house?
You can do criteria searches under "FIND DOSSIERS". The search feature functions when certain keywords are used.
Is there a charge to sign myself up as a user?
No, there is no charge.
Problems composing a dossier!

I can't make any changes to my dossier.
Once you have released a dossier on bookoobook to the editorial phase, it can no longer be changed in your account.
How can I make changes to a released dossier?
If you must make a change or a correction to your dossier when already in editorial, please send a message to the admin at bookoobook (via our contact form). They will temporarily remove your dossier from the public list. Then, you will be able to make changes and re-release the dossier to editorial.
How can I update details on awarded contracts?
Once new book rights are sold, please send an email immediately to editorial (info@bookoobook.de) This enables the dossier's technical information to be updated.
How can I contact a publisher or the appropriate party?
In the detailed view of the found dossier, you will be able to email the appropriate party.
How much does it cost to register a dossier?
It costs 25 € per dossier for 6 months and 15 € for every 6-month extension after that. The introductory phase is free!
Extending registration
We will send you a reminder mail 3 weeks prior to end of your 6-month registration. There, you have the possibility to extend the "shelf life" of your dossier.
How will I be invoiced?
You will receive an invoice via email within 3 days of dossier registration.
What if I forgot my password?
Go to Login and click "FORGOT YOUR PASSWORD?". Our system will send you your password once you submit your email address.
How can I change my personal information (e.g. if my address were to change)?
Log in to your bookoobook account and you can change your contact details at any time.
How can I delete my account and /or dossier?
Please send an email to the bookoobook administration (via our contact form)
How can I change my password?
Once you have logged in, you can change your password in your account information.
How can I place an advertisement on the bookoobook website?
If you are interested in advertising on www.bookoobook.de, please contact the bookoobook team via our contact form.
